Public participation and input is crucial to the design and implementation of a first-rate transportation system. Transit services, bicycle and pedestrian routes, mixed-mode town centers, airports and roadways serve the community and must meet community needs. The Tahoe Metropolitan Planning Organization (TMPO) is embarking on a new phase of transportation planning with an update of its major transportation planning documents and seeks to involve the public and planning partners. This planning effort is following up on the regional “Place-Based planning” workshops where transportation was one of the most discussed topics.
The TMPO invites you to take our on-line survey (link below) to let us know how you would like to be involved in transportation planning, and to participate in a “Transportation Roundtable” to gather ideas on the Regional Transportation Plan, the Public Participation Plan and the Coordinated Human Services Transit Plan. These Roundtables will be held on both the North and South Shores. There will be two opportunities to attend, and we invite you to attend one or both of them.
