SHOREZONE WORKSHOP SCHEDULED FOR MAY 22
TRPA is working with stakeholder groups and state agencies to roll out the first update to Shorezone rules in 20 years. A workshop for project proponents, property owners and other interested parties is scheduled for May 22. The new ordinance could be adopted as soon as June.

Devastating species of mussels have crossed the Rocky Mountains traveling on boats and trailers. Their destructive spread threatens boats and Lake Tahoe's pristine waters. Volunteer inspection trainings will be held May 16. Get involved and stop aquatic hitchhikers.

LIVING WITH FIRE
TRPA worked with the Nevada Fire Safe Council, University of Nevada Cooperative Extension, and local fire districts to create a guide to creating defensible space in Lake Tahoe's fragile environment. This is a large file (3.5 MB) and may require long download times.
